Dunedin (pronounced DUN-EE-DIN) is a charming coastal town on Florida's Gulf Coast.  Located Due West of Tampa, Dunedin has all the benefits a small town can offer while it's 40,000 residents enjoy a quality of life umatched anywhere else.  One of the oldest towns on the West Coast of Florida, Dunedin boasts wooded and subtropical settings with almost four miles of picturesque waterfront, a relaxed lifestyle, and activities for all walks of life.  It is easy to see where Dunedin get's it's nickname of "Delightful" Dunedin.

The Dunedin area enjoys near perfect weather, with an average summer high of 80 degrees and a winter low of 62 degrees. Average rainfall is 50 inches per year with the usual summertime afternoon showers.

Just off the coast of Dunedin, the community is able to boast of two of its most unique assets, Honeymoon and Caladesi Islands. Honeymoon Island State Park rated #2 in the Country by Dr. Beach - 2006, is less than a five-minute drive from the mainland, and offers a natural getaway for boating, swimming, fishing, picnics, and nature exploration. Caladesi Island State Park, accessible to the public by ferry from Honeymoon Island or by private boat, has consistently been named one of Florida’s top ten beaches. Along the Dunedin Causeway to Honeymoon Island, within the protected waters of St. Joseph Sound, you will find all the sun and fun activities such as windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, jet skiing, or just relaxing and listening to the surf.

Some of the areas finest marinas also call Dunedin home, offering safe harbor for sail and power crafts with dockside conveniences of water and electricity.

 Delightful Dunedin, with its rich Scottish heritage, is home to the Annual Highland Games, several community festivals every year including Fat-Tuesday-Mardi Gras, Oktoberfest, Dunedin Wines the Blues and more, making it one of the most popular places to live, work and play.
